Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Experience Product was perfect and quickly delivered. My students were thrilled with the double injection and the pigs were ENORMOUS! They didn't even fit on our dissection trays! WE had a blast

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dual injection not visible These pigs were all closer to 11 inches than 14. The dual injection ink was not visible in most of the specimens. I have ordered these before and both the red and blue colors were easy to see. Some of these pigs had blue throughout most of the internal organs. Disappointed in this order that the two colors were not visible.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent way to explore anatomy I teach animal science which covers anatomy and physiology. I love these double injected preserved pigs for my student to dissect. It helps them to better retain the information that I have taught in class.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Only one flaw noted This specimen shipped very quickly! It was well packaged & well preserved just as the specimens have been when I ordered them in the past. My only complaint is that the latex double injection that I paid extra for was not an effective teaching tool with this specimen. When the body cavity was opened, the blue latex color was mixed with body & preservation fluids and was coating the all internal organs. We had to thoroughly rinse with clear water to be able to proceed. Also, we could see where the red latex seemed to be right at the injection site, but it could not be observed throughout the arteries in the circulatory system. This has not been an issue w/ previous specimens i have ordered. Overall, this was still a great teaching tool, and i would order again but perhaps a larger sized specimen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ability to see detail in the specimen I get all of my dissection specimens (cats, pigs, and frogs) from Carolina and I have never had a disappointing product. One of the biggest things my students like about them is the fact that they are able to distinguish between all the different organs, it doesn't look like just a tan or brown blob on the inside. The double color perfect solutions are the best for detail and being able to determine what is what in the body cavity. The second thing the kids really like is the fact they don't smell near as bad as our old specimens!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product works well for the curriculum and for those of us with allergies. I have used Carolina Perfect Solution specimens for as long as they have offered them. I am allergic to most preservation smells and this solution works far better for me. The fetal pig is cost efficient for my biology curriculum and the students are amazed at what they see and learn.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great low odor and excellent color for the organs In the past we have used the "other guys" pigs that had a bad odor and could not tell one organ from the other . Thanks to Carolina's Perfect Solution® Pig, there is very little odor and the color in the organs helps the students follow along in their dissection. This actually saves time because I do not have to go to table to table showing the organ to each lab crew.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solved the Issue The Carolina Perfect Solution solved the issue with nasal and eye irritation for our faculty and students. Specimen quality was still preserved and met the goals of the Zoology course. No big issues with latex blow out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Preserved Fetal Pig We use the "Carolina's Perfect Solution® Preserved Pig, Double Color Injection" for out BIO -II lab for dissection of a mammalian specimen. It is a good product and the double color injection gives a much better visual view to the students.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Preserved Specimen The pig looked and felt like it could have been alive any moment before, except it was now cold and wet with shut eyes! This specimen's organs were all intact and it was a marvel to examine. Much better quality than many other preserved organisms I've seen.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Marginal quality and size Most of the pigs appeared to be on the small end of the size range indicated in the online catalog, and the quality of the injection varied greatly, with many of the injections resulting in large latex blobs and few colored blood vessels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful ! This was not my first dissection but first pig. I love that things were perfect and ready for me. If I have another dissection, Carolina will be my first choice. Just took my quiz and because things on the fetal pig was clear, I was able to locate what I needed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty good I have always gotten good fetal pigs. This time one of the pigs had a lot of free blue liquid in its abdomen. My guess is that the latex leaked from somewhere after application. This made it difficult to dissect and appreciate all the organs. Fortunately, we had another fetal pig that the previous class had dissected to share.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Packaging is better We have been using Carolina fetal pigs for many years. The double injected in the perfect solution has worked for us to keep the pigs fresh for up to 4 weeks while we study them in our Gen Bio Labs. Recently we have decided to switch from the pail packs to the bulk bag packs.. much improved, the pails were very heavy and hard to open, although they did take up less space than the bulk packed. We have been able to use pigs left from the previous year when kept in the pails, so we do order one pail each year., to go along with the bag packed pigs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Solution Pigs Carolina Perfect Solution pig specimens are the best specimens I've used in class for biology dissections. The smell is noticeable but not overwhelming like other specimens. Organs and internal structures of the double injected specimens are easier for the students to find and identify.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome, can be adapted for time This was SO GREAT!!!! Due to time constraints, I had to change my lab from having each lab table work to having us do one quick pig in class. The pig was big enough for all gathered to see, the organs were extremely well defined. It was simple to point out the similarities between human anatomy and the pig. Clear, concise, easily visible by each of the students, etc. This was especially easy for me to use since this was my first year at the High School level. LOVED IT and will be using it and others again.
