Rated 3 out of 5 by from Invasion of the unknown ciliate On arrival, my culture had a small round ciliate in it. It ate all the chilamonas and my amoeba starved to death. I have to order a new culture. Other than that the amoeba were healthy before they died.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Soak it first! Used it for an osmosis experiment with sucrose solutions. Worked great once I searched online and discovered that tubing needed to be soaked in distilled water for 15 minutes to open it. Should be in the instructions!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Volvox: Great but delicate Be warned: It doesnt last too long after it comes in. One has to quickly transfer to fresh medium. Mine died in about 5 days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Daphnia did great! ... hydras not so much... They are alive and doing great! I have had them for about 2 weeks now and they have already started breeding and I now have tons! I bought them to feed my fish, and a hydra colony that I bought from here! The hydras quickly died though so I am not happy about that. But I can say that the daphnia were a great purchase and if I ever wanted any more, I would definitely get from here again!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Daphnia pulex. The daphnia arrived perfectly...I overfed them and that expired within 3 or 4 days...not Carolinas’ fault...I may reorder and try again

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Trouble keeping them alive. My order was easy, the daphnia came in the jar. We opened the lid and left them in the jar for a day. The next day we moved them to two large jars. Within three days they were all dead. I don’t know what I did wrong. I used the water from our pond and the food we purchased from Carolina. This was the second batch that has died. Could my pond water be killing them? If so I won’t be able to use them to help clean the pond.
